Research Interests
Faculty and Research Interests
Currently, the department of materials engineering has 20 full-time faculty members. All faculty members have doctoral degrees. Our faculties are engaged in the research of thin film coatings and processing, nanoscience and nanotechnology, bio-interface and biotechnology, plasma technology, opto-electronics, magnetic storage, semiconductor, mechanical engineering, surface technology, and green energy engineering.
The applications are found in several industries and the faculty members work together in several research groups: (1) Functional Coatings Group, (2) HIPIMS Technology Group, (3) Bio-Interface Group, (4) Nano-Organic Photoelectronic Materials Group, (5) μC-Si Thin-Film Solar Cells Group, (6) Cold Plasma Application: Surface and Biomedical Engineering Group, (7) Copper Indium Gallium Selenide (CIGS) Solar Cells Group, (8) Fuel Cell Materials Group.
